Drop Everything And Read

Today, everyone in our school celebrated reading and our RES book sale success with "Drop Everything And Read".  Each student settled in with a good book or a few good books and read for fifteen minutes.  Kindergarten students are using their "pointer power" to point to and read each word on the page.  Another favorite reading superpower is our "picture power".  Ask your child which reading superpower they like using the best.

 

Explore Time

Explore time is a favorite in kindergarten!  Students make choices about what to build, play with, draw and color.  Their creativity and enjoyment show through.  What fun!

 

Musher Visit

A big thank you to Mrs. Roll, our RES PTO, and Cobble Hill Kennels' mushers and dog team!  Kindergarteners were excited to spend time today with the dogs and to pull the dog sled.  Of course, the sled dog puppies were a huge hit.
