Campfire Celebration

Our class had a campfire and hot cocoa in the outdoor classroom today.  We collected the wood several days ago and dried it in our classroom.  Students brainstormed fire safety procedures before we went out to build our fire.  Kindergarteners had a great time sitting around the campfire sipping on their hot cocoa.

Snow Motion - Day 2

Another great day on the slopes!  Kindergarten students enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at Cochran's again today.  They practiced their "pizzas" and "french fries".  The weather was perfect, and the snow was excellent for our young skiers and snowboarders.

Snow Play Day

Our entire school earned another celebration- Snow Play Day!  Kindergarten enjoyed sledding on the back hill, shoveling snow, and playing in the snowdrifts.  It was a great way to end our school day.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We have been studying about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week.  The Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Jan. 17, 2022, celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Dr. King's message to treat everyone in a kind, friendly and loving way is just as important today as it was when he gave his speeches decades ago.  Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used his words to bring about change and make the world a better place.  Please check out the beautiful portraits of Dr. King that students created.  We made freedom bells and learned a short song to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
