Our Families

As part of our Family unit in Social Studies students have been reading and discussing
families.  We know that a family is a group of people who love and care for each other.
Students have been drawing and writing in their family booklets.  We have been writing
about things our families like to do and why our families are special.
We all agree that we are thankful for our wonderful families!
Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Turkey Project

Kindergarten students created turkeys with their fourth grade buddies.  They were able to add certain parts and colors based on answers to questions about themselves.  For example, if a student said they had siblings then they put yellow feet on their turkey.  Red feet indicated a child had no siblings.  Each child was instructed to add the same number of feathers as their age.  The partner teams had a fun time with this project.  We are all so impressed with the way they collaborate and enjoy each other.
