Gingerbread Cookie Hunt

We went to the cafeteria to get our gingerbread cookies on Friday and our cookies were missing.  We searched throughout the school and asked everyone if they had seen our cookies.  Finally, Mr. Berry found our cookies and brought them back to us.  What an adventure!  By the way, our cookies tasted delicious.

Fourth Grade Buddies

Over the last few years kindergarten classes have "buddied up" with fourth grade classes in our school.  The buddy classes get together throughout the year for a variety of activities.  Classes may hike, play games, read, work on projects together, etc.  This gives younger and older scholars a chance to build relationships and work together.  It is a wonderful learning opportunity for everyone.  We are excited to be buddies with Ms. Senning's fourth grade class this year.  This past week we went for a walk and explored the school garden together.  We enjoyed all the fragrant smells of the garden.  Our classes even attended an assembly together to review assembly rules.  We look forward to getting together with our buddies again.

Open House

Dear Families,

It was wonderful to see so many families at Open House last night.  Thank you for attending.  Students have been excited for days to show you their classroom and school.  They loved being your "tour guides" and showing you all the work they have done, as well as all the people they know in our school.  I appreciate your coming to our special evening and supporting our young scholars.

Open House Dinner and Bake Sale

Kindergarten Geologists

Our Geology unit really does rock!  Our class has been collecting rocks from a variety of places. We dug up rocks in the field between Camel's Hump Middle School and our school. We even found rocks in the school garden and on our playground. We have been comparing rocks looking for similarities and differences. Kindergarten scholars are fascinated by rocks.  They are making many observations and discoveries about rocks.
