We love exploring and making 2D shapes. Kindergarteners made shapes using toothpicks, playdough, popsicle sticks, wikki stix, and straws. They loved moving from station to station making different-sized squares, rectangles, triangles, rhombus, trapezoids, and hexagons. What great mathematicians!
We had a great start to the New Year! As part of our how-to writing unit, we wrote books on how to eat an Oreo. Mr. Rector showed us how he eats an Oreo. We broke it down step by step. Then we each ate an Oreo cookie and wrote each step of how we ate it. What a delicious way to write a how-to book.
